This little girl has a very beautiful name… so fitting with the beautiful photos she allowed me to capture her today at just 8 days old. You might remember this maternity session I did last month where I plucked a daisy from my flower bed for mom and sp today, I was sure to bring a little one for her little girl.
I have seen many things during newborn sessions: strong babies, babies with lots of personality, once a baby crawled across the table and once a baby smiled at me while awake (I swear). But this, I’ve never seen: a baby knowingly suck her thumb. She was very aware of where it was and would purposely tried to put it there whenever she got the chance.
This is one of those shots that newborn photographers can rejoice with me in. When you’re in the middle of setting up something else and the baby smiles so you hurry up to snap a photo and pray that you caught it.
She had a beautiful shabby chic dresser and mom even told me about it during the maternity session so I had already had this shot in mind before I arrived.
And finally, I always love a daddy’s girl.

July 18, 2010This little beauty was so wonderful for me today. I told you I have the best and most beautiful little clients!
Then when I get beautiful and wonderful parents to go with it, my job is really quite easy. In fact, I’m pretty sure it’s the best job in the world.
It was a scorching 100 degrees today but their backyard had lots of nice shade and a cool little breeze flowing through made for the perfect outdoor setting.
Newborn Sessions Now Offered in Studio at a Special Rate
February 6, 2010Due to popular demand, I will now be offering newborn sessions in my home studio in Fairfield, PA effective immediately. Because the space is small (and because I prefer to shoot children and families outside), I will only be offering newborn session in-studio. I will still offer the Signature Newborn Package with mini-maternity and in your home newborn sessions for $200 but these in-studio only newborn sessions will be at a special session fee of $125. These sessions are being offered Tuesday and Thursday mornings only.

New Baby Sister
January 24, 2010…and an awesome new big brother! I had been waiting for this little girl to make her entrance and wow, was she ever worth the (long!) wait. So beautiful and so perfect for me today. Her big brother was beaming with pride and as I expected, gave me the sweetest smiles.
I had to include this next one here because both of their expressions made me smile!

November 25, 2009I met this beautiful baby girl and her big brother and sister over the weekend. I know mom has been waiting patiently for a sneak peek and I do apologize for the delay but it’s holiday crunch time here at Lucky Ladybug Photography. I’ve been busier these last 3 months than the whole rest of the year together! Add holiday card designing, album layouts and magazine assignments to the mix, and I’m one tired girl.
BUT, having a newborn baby on my schedule makes my world so much happier, and I’m happy to say I have 4 booked for December and several for January already! I’ve had a great excuse to buy even more newborn hats, wraps and other props! Here are a few of my favorites of this beautiful baby who modeled everything so perfectly for me.
