It’s a Girl!

My maternity clients from a few weeks ago welcomed a beautiful baby girl who was only 8 days old when I got to meet her. I said it with the last set of photos of them but this family is so loving and these boys are going to be the best big brothers this little girl could know. They already dote on her and can’t get enough of her. For good reason of course—she is precious!

Little Sweetheart

This little beauty was so wonderful for me today. I told you I have the best and most beautiful little clients!

Then when I get beautiful and wonderful parents to go with it, my job is really quite easy. In fact, I’m pretty sure it’s the best job in the world.

It was a scorching 100 degrees today but their backyard had lots of nice shade and a cool little breeze flowing through made for the perfect outdoor setting.

Pretty Baby

Today was the beginning of my newborn rush… I have a ton of babies coming up, all born at the same time. Scheduling is kind of funny when it comes to newborn babies. Try telling them what day they’re scheduled to be born! :) I couldn’t have started off with a more perfect little subject than this sweetheart.

Used my 100mm f/2.8 macro lens here. I love the little details this lens produces, like all her little eyelashes!

M family +1

Remember this little ski love story I shared with you a few weeks ago? Now they’re +1 with a beautiful baby boy who was as sweet as sweet could be for me today.

As is the case with each session, I end up having a favorite photograph that I add to my list of all-time favorites. I really love this shot :)

I really love this one too because of how comfortable he looks so snug in his mommy’s snowflake scarf. She wore one to her maternity session and I really wanted to incorporate it into the session, but it had some pink in it (boys + pink = not a great idea!) but I love this one even more.

Perfect Addition

I know you remember this lovely maternity session from just a few weeks ago… and now they’re a family of 4! The perfect little addition to this loving family. I’ve been really spoiled this year with nothing but the most wonderful little newborn models and he did not disappoint!

This is my favorite of the day…. motherhood is the most beautiful thing.

Sweet Baby

Remember this happy adorable couple?  They’re even happier now that their sweet adorable baby has arrived!  And he proved to be as determined as ever at just 5 days old not to allow me to take too many photographs of him while interrupting his beauty sleep.  So I went back a few days later and he started out like this…

“I’ve got my eye on you photographer lady.”

Beautiful Mini-Maternity Session

One of the best things I did this year was revamp my newborn sessions to include a mini-maternity session. I have so enjoyed it and I love getting the chance to meet families before we spend 2-4 hours together during a newborn session :)

This couple is welcoming a baby girl soon and little guy here is going to be an awesome big brother. He really has the most pleasant personality and I can tell his parents love him very much.
