I describe myself as creative, fresh but most of all, fun. I don't consider myself a picture taker, but rather someone who looks for those special moments to create works of art to last lifetimes. I see things in people that energizes me and I love leaving each session feeling like I've met the most beautiful and luckiest people I've ever met.
Because I am a mom first and foremost, I only accept a limited number of sessions per month and book out at least 6-8 weeks in advance. This is my 3rd time photographing this beautiful family this year and I’m so honored to be able to do 1st birthday photos for this little princess. This mom is always so styling with her outfit choices! Love the bold summer colors. And if ever there was an award for best big brother, I would surely submit this big brother for it. He is so polite everytime and always so cooperative for me. Thank you so much again W family… it is truly a pleasure working with you and watching your children grow!
This little beauty was so wonderful for me today. I told you I have the best and most beautiful little clients!
Then when I get beautiful and wonderful parents to go with it, my job is really quite easy. In fact, I’m pretty sure it’s the best job in the world.
It was a scorching 100 degrees today but their backyard had lots of nice shade and a cool little breeze flowing through made for the perfect outdoor setting.
Remember this little newborn I photographed a year ago, then again at 4 months, and 8 months recently? He’s about to be the big ONE year old! Mom set this whole session up at her grammy’s house, with a rocker theme and a biker theme and wanted to incorporate some sentimental things in the yard…. so of course, I am so beyond thrilled when parents are so excited about photos and plan things out. It helps that after 3 sessions, they know what to expect and how things go. It definitely gives parents a level of comfortability I think to suggest ideas.

I’ve had the pleasure of photographing quite a few families lately and it really is such a fun time for me. My family sessions last 2 hours and during that time, I like to think it’s all play and little work! I first photographed the E family this past winter when they welcomed baby #3 and they invited me back to their home for a family session as they are now a family of 5, or 7 if you count the two dogs! They have this gorgeous property right in their very back yard!
So I read recently from another photographer that “If you train your eyes to see love, the rest will fall into place”. So that’s what I’ve been trying to do.
This is my second session with this little baby, you might recall I dubbed his newborn session Miracle Baby for a good reason. He is so very happy to be here and life is good for the K family as they celebrate his 1/2 year birthday!
I’ve been really into the soulful black and whites lately… the drool makes this special for me!
I got to photograph this gorgeous blue-eyed baby today who was the happiest little subject for me. AND, as if that wasn’t enough, together with his mommy and daddy, they make the cutest family photographs.
I hope its no surprise that the blog previews are usually some more of the non-traditional kinds of photographs that I love so much. Where there is lots of laughter and smiles, there is a happy photographer here so thank you so much D family! I always tell my clients that even though we all want some great photographs of our kids growing up, throw in some family shots there too because when our kids are grown, those will be the photographs they cherish most. I’m pretty sure this little guy will cherish these one day

A real life doll baby she is! This is my third session with this family and I love being able to capture these awesome moments with them. She was absolutely precious for me today, squealing, and grinning from ear-to-ear the entire time. I can’t wait to see her again in a few months for her one year session!
So many of these photos have a timeless feel for me but this one looks so classic.
Speaking of classic, hahaha!
This one is super sweet to me since I also have one of her mommy pregnant with her at this very same crib, then again holding her as a newborn, and now singing a song to her at 6 months old.
Let’s talk for a minute about how it seems that I only photograph beautiful babies. I swear it’s not a requirement but I’m always so amazed at the beautiful families I get to photograph too. How fitting that I get to end 2009 with a sweet girl, born close to Christmas just like my own sweet girl… and so highly anticipated too, it brings back really warm memories for me!
