I had a nice break from sessions this weekend (because I had 4 last week!) so I definitely enjoyed some family time. I bought a new camera a few weeks ago (a Canon 5D so that I have a back-up system in place) but haven’t had the time to break it out to familiarize myself with it. I took my lovely little girl out tonight in my back yard right after the heavy storm we got because that’s the most beautiful light when the storm clears. Madeline has been loving to pose lately, so much so that she tells me how to pose when she takes my picture… “No, mommy, model like THIS.” Ooops, I guess I have created a monster! 
I really can’t wait until the day she is old enough to help me with sessions. I have a feeling she’s going to be great.

These poses kill me. They’re all her. No direction from me! I did, however, convince her to take off the backpack she wanted to accessorize with for these photos.
