Just wanted to make a special blog posting about how important I believe family photographs are. Whenever I want to remember how happy my childhood was, I pull out my family photographs. Whenever I want to remember how great my mom and dad were, I pull out my family photographs. With each and every session, I encourage family interactions. If you book a session for your child’s first birthday, I’ll focus on your child, but will still attempt to capture some interactions with family members present. Stop worrying about those last few pounds you have to lose (your children don’t care!) and stop worrying about how your shirt looks (I’ll tell you if you’re showing something you shouldn’t). Just relax, be yourselves and enjoy your family.
Here’s a great example of this family who did it very well. They just trusted me to guide them into set-ups, they focused on each other and their child, and the rest came naturally. No stiff poses, no awkward expressions. Just realness
So what to do with all those photos anyway? Why not do a collage on a gallery mount?

And of course I can do one with just the star of the photographs as well!
