I describe myself as creative, fresh but most of all, fun. I don't consider myself a picture taker, but rather someone who looks for those special moments to create works of art to last lifetimes. I see things in people that energizes me and I love leaving each session feeling like I've met the most beautiful and luckiest people I've ever met.
Because I am a mom first and foremost, I only accept a limited number of sessions per month and book out at least 6-8 weeks in advance. Just one year ago I photographed this sweet heart as a newborn baby. And now here he is all grown up having celebrated his first birthday! It was really cold out this morning…. brrrrr…. and his little hands were cold and so we cut the session short. But as is it was my 3rd time photographing him, he is always so very sweet.
The ducks are always an attention getter for this age!
Today I took some time out for Madeline and we visited Crumland Farms for an Easter Egg Hunt extravaganza. What a nicely put together community event! I just pulled some quick snaps off because if I don’t, chances are, I’ll never get to them because I’m always buried in client work.
This was Madeline’s first Easter Egg Hunt and I have to say, she wasn’t too interested in the competitive sport of egg hunting. She was way too interested in the farm animals on the farm, mostly just “goatie”. And it figures that she was scared of the Easter bunny walking around, but not afraid of the bowling pin dressed up in character. Despite her oddities, I love her all the same.
And something interesting happened to me today while there, three different people approached me and asked if I was Lucky Ladybug Photography because they recognized my daughter. That’s pretty cool. I love meeting people and will know better from now on to always wear make-up in public 
Wow, what a weekend of gorgeous weather! I had some spring mini-sessions on Saturday and I have so many to go through in such a short time that I can’t post a sneak peek until after (2 sessions are surprise Easter photos for families…shhhh!) but I pulled this one off really quickly because they’re also loyal baby planners and this is my 3rd session with him this year. He has grown so much!
I don’t miss all my muddy pants, dirty shoes, bug bites, scratches on my legs from pricker bushes from crawling around on the ground for outdoor sessions but I’ll take it anyday for photos in beautiful weather.

I know you remember this lovely maternity session from just a few weeks ago… and now they’re a family of 4! The perfect little addition to this loving family. I’ve been really spoiled this year with nothing but the most wonderful little newborn models and he did not disappoint!
This is my favorite of the day…. motherhood is the most beautiful thing.
And so my newborn hat obsession on tiny sweet babies continues

Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing this little guy with his adoring parents who are smitten with him! He was the perfect little model for me and slept through the entire session and would only stir a bit to let me know that I was interrupting his beauty sleep This is the relative of a dear high school friend so I’m so thankful again for the opportunity to help capture memories for people I know.

Right before I left, his little cousins were visiting from out-of-town so I was happy to capture all three of them together for the first time! Happy kids, you think??!!
Just pure bliss. I love catching a glimpse of what those first few days home with a new baby are like for people… I often wonder if they realize how happy they look, how wonderful it all is.
He was the sweetest baby for me today and I think his cheeks are the cutest things It’s hard sometimes to refrain from not wanting to snuggle with cute babies but I’m always the professional He definitely had the cuteness and snuggly factors in full effect!
