Happy Baby: Part 2 of 2

This is the session that wins for being the most rain-delayed ever… I believe this was appt. #4! And wouldn’t you know it, as I was driving home, it started to rain! Thankfully, we got in some great weather before that happened and I’m so, so glad. This baby ranks up there with one of the happiest little subjects I’ve ever had. Made my job so easy and so fun… and now I’ll show you a few of the reasons why!

His mom brought two adorable hats and if you do not smile at this, you are made of stone I tell ya.

Class of 2010 – Makenzie

This session was defnitely worth all the rain delays… this beautiful girl was so much fun! She was totally up for all of my suggestions and put one of the most inviting smiles I’ve ever photographed.  Her assistants (i.e. mom, sister and cousin!) were wonderful to be around too.   Blue skies, windy hair and a mixture of urban and country settings… my favorite kind of session!

Welcome Fall, it’s so nice to have you!

Even though it’s been pretty warm out lately, going to this home in the woods made me really happy to finally see some colorful leaves on trees… I couldn’t have picked a more perfect setting to welcome Fall.

I am so fortunate to watch kids grow up.  I had the pleasure of photographing this baby last year and how he’s about to turn the big number 1!   He has the most amazing set of dimples and was such a happy boy.  His mom and dad were so great that I would like to hire them both to assist with kids on photo sessions :)

Six Days New

Two of a Kind

These little beauties spoiled me today… they were so sweet and so good.  I thought newborn twins were supposed to be harder than just one newborn baby but every set I’ve had has been the opposite!   They join a mommy and daddy who adore them very much already and who seem to have already mastered the teamwork and patience that I would imagine having twins take.

During my 1.5 years doing this,  I had yet to photograph an engagement session…. until tonight. Because I don’t photograph weddings, I don’t get a lot of engagement inquires so I was thrilled when this beautiful girl contacted me to commemorate her recent engagement to this lucky guy.

Family Fun

Tonight I met up with the S family and their 3 most perfectly behaved and beautiful children. It was really nice having kids who did everything I asked them to, with wonderful smiles to go along with it. Maybe we could get together sometime and they could teach some of that to my little girl? :)

Happy Baby: Part 1 of 2

As a photographer, when you get out of the car, and this is exactly the first thing you see and photograph…:

…. you are thinking, “this is going to be so much fun!” I was right until half way through our session, it just started to pour, almost out of no where, a first for me during a session. So you’ll be seeing a couple more of this adorable baby and this gorgeous family, not that I’m sure anyone minds :)

Look Who is One Year Old Already!

It’s crazy how fast time flies. Remember the cutest little Easter Bunny you ever saw? He just celebrated his first birthday recently and I had the pleasure of taking a few photographs to help commemorate it.

He loves his mommy SO much so it was only appropriate that she be in some photographs too. These photos are so simple in set-up but are always among my favorites.

Goodbye Summer, You Were Good To Me

Hello! I am back from the beach where I enjoyed some much needed time off. It was my daughter’s first time at the beach and my first visit to the shore in 8 years… I really should think about taking a vacation more often. I definitely feel rejuvenated. But no rest for the weary though… I don’t have time to show all of my favorite photos I took because I’m busy catching up on client work, emails, proofing and ordering since my husband implemented the no computer rule while I was away. But here is just one I quickly pulled-off my card and I love how it shows just how scared of the ocean Madeline really was. She was not a fan of the cold ocean water. The game room and heated pool at the condo building, Dumser’s icecream and the boardwalk, yes!

Stay tuned for a really busy September, and rest of the year for that matter! I have been, unfortunately, having to turn down session requests for the rest of the year because I’m booked up with the exception of the holiday mini-sessions on 12/5 for which there are some slots available.
