Welcome Spring!

March 22, 2010

Wow, what a weekend of gorgeous weather!  I had some spring mini-sessions on Saturday and I have so many to go through in such a short time that I can’t post a sneak peek until after (2 sessions are surprise Easter photos for families…shhhh!) but I pulled this one off really quickly because they’re also loyal baby planners and this is my 3rd session with him this year.  He has grown so much!

I don’t miss all my muddy pants, dirty shoes, bug bites, scratches on my legs from pricker bushes from crawling around on the ground for outdoor sessions but I’ll take it anyday for photos in beautiful weather.

I hope you stick around Spring because I have lots of beautiful photos to take!

Spring is almost here! Thank goodness because I’ve got a major case of cabin fever.

I’m planning a mini-session for the first day of Spring on Saturday, March 20th at Strawberry Hill Nature Center in Fairfield, PA. I’m still working out one more key detail but I will structure these similarly to my Christmas Tree mini-sessions. All digital, 1/2 hour-45 minutes and files available for download in a week. Price is the same at $275.00.

Also a quick note to you let you know that I’m now booking for May sessions. Feb, March and April are booked. I will be taking 2 weeks off in Feb to catch up on business related things that I just didn’t get time to do when January’s bookings came so fast.

If you are interested in taking advantage of some beautiful Spring color, May is the perfect month. Don’t delay!

Happy winter!

I hope you have enjoyed 2009 as much as I have.  Here is my year in review, a photograph from each session I did this year, all 80+ of them.

I am very much looking forward to a bright and happy 2010.  Much peace and happiness for you in the new year. Happy Holidays!

Snow Day at the Tree Farm

December 10, 2009

I swear I’ve had dreams of photographing in the snow with a red sofa forever now. As my awesome luck would have it, it snowed the day of my planned mini-session day at Clemsonville Tree Farm. Photographing in the snow had some interesting challenges (besides the obvious being very cold!) and I was really thankful that I brought along two assistants, one of whom held an umbrella over my head for most of the day, and for helping with the sofa. Thank you Kim & Erica! And even though only one family actualy cut down a tree, the results from all of the sessions are among some of my most favorite photographs. I continued the next day with two more sessions, one family who had a sweet baby and the wet snow the day before was not so great as the day wore on so I was happy to come back, and it gave me the opportunity to get in one more session there too.

Thank you to all who helped me realize a dream come true!

I Can’t Believe It Either

October 22, 2009

I’ve gotten a few bookings recently for JANUARY 2010 so I figured I needed to go ahead and start planning for next year!  Whew, I can hardly believe this year went so fast and furious for me.  If you are inquiring about a holiday mini-session spot at Clemsonville Tree Farm, I only have one time slot left.

I would like to start planning a Valentine’s Day Mini-Session for the weekend of 1/30-1/31.  A limited number of these special “Valentine’s Day Cookies in Your Kitchen” sessions will be accepted and they are ideal for families with ages 12 months and up because I’ll be photographing your family baking cookies in your kitchen!  I’ll be providing some aprons, and chef hats if you desire, and some heart lollipops for those who are good chefs!

This will be an all digital package again and files will be available to download by 2/7, in time for Valentine’s Day cards.  A limited number will be accepted due to time contraints and travel to and from your home so please contact me if you are interested in receiving more information!

I’ve had several of inquiries over the last 2 weeks about the holiday mini session details so I thought it was time to make it official.  This is an awesome opportunity to get some unique holiday photos instead of the same old Christmas photos you’re used too.. not to mention it’s the ONLY opportunity I have to book holiday photos for the rest of this year (besides two spots available in November).  Please let me know if you have any questions and I hope to see you down on the farm!HOliday mini session for web

Christmas in July

July 16, 2009

It’s crazy how fast the year has already flown by and before you know it, the holidays will be here… and believe it or not, many people have already started planning for holiday photos! I’m so glad because my calendar books up very quickly and I only have two dates left for September and one for October. That gives me November to hurry up and get holiday photos in!

Just a head’s up that I am planning on offering a special holiday mini-session at a local Christmas Tree Farm on the first Saturday of December… this will be a digital package only since it’s so close to the holidays. Just imagine colorful scarves and gloves, red noses and chopping down the family Christmas tree, all caught on camera! More to come on that at a later date!

I am pleased to show you my 2009 Holiday Card Collection! I offer stunning custom holiday cards that are sure to give your lucky recipients a momento of your beautiful family. You know everyone looks forward to seeing photos of your beautiful family around the holidays and not some cheesey $.99 card! This year’s collection is a stunning assortment of double-sided and folded 5×7 cards printed on luxurious linen paper. Text and photos are completely customizable.
