Happiness is…. 3 very well-behaved children!
May 20, 2012Perfect Spring Day
April 21, 2012It is a big honor when talented photographers book me for their own family photos! This lovely family belongs to Tonya Teran of Tonya Teran Photography in Rockville, MD. Check out her work… it is as beautiful as her little girl is! These are heavy on the mom and daughter shots… because I know all too well how difficult it is to be in some photos with my daughter!

Catching Up
January 1, 2012Happy New Year!
I was soooo busy this Fall that I neglected updating the blog with recent sessions. I post previews to my Facebook fangpage regularly and keep that up-to-date because I know clients love to share their sneak peeks with friends! I hope everyone had a great holiday season. I took a couple of weeks off and will be jumping back in with a full schedule until Spring in a couple of weeks.
In the meantime, here is a little bit of what I did in November and December! LOTS of repeat clients!!! <3

The Sweetest Bond
November 12, 2011Well folks, this is what I want to photograph from now on: pure, raw emotion. This session sealed the deal for me. Props that are sentimental to YOU (like mom’s high heeled shoes and a special necklace passed down from a generation). Maybe you feel like you’re working too much and want to recapture that bond you know exists between your child and you or maybe you just decide you love your child so much you can’t describe it so you want me to help you put it into words.
That’s what its all about me for me.

Beautiful Girls
October 24, 2011I heard on the radio yesterday that its peak Fall color around here…. its absolutely gorgeous and we lucked out with a beautiful day of weather too. I met this family at Renfrew and wow…..seriously, look at these little girls! So beautiful! I work with the most wonderful families, I am convinced!
I love this photo so much. If I could paint the most perfect family photo in my mind, this is what it would look like:

This one is awfully pretty too!

How fun is Fall? Throwing leaves is the essential childhood photo.

Their mom picked up these red coats since it was pretty chilly and goodness… LOVE the red. Now I need one for Maddy.

The most wonderful family
October 22, 2011…and I give them this title because despite the fact that I know we rescheduled at least 6 times, 3 of which were because I was so sick with pneumonia and 3 reschedules because of rain… they were incredibly easy-going and so understanding. Really and truly folks—that’s what its all about…I have had such a tough time bouncing back from this and just being so tired. When people are so understanding, it really is so nice. Makes me want to bend over backwards for them!
I can not thank you enough T family for being so wonderful. Your girls are truly blessed to have such awesome parents!
Interestingly, this session was supposed to be a summer session in a garden. The day we photographed, in October, the weather could’ve easily have passed for a summer day!

These next few photos were taken in downtown Frederick along side of what I swear looks like a little slice of Tuscany, smack dab in the middle of Frederick!

Home
August 13, 2011This was probably the largest session I have ever done. The Nana of this family booked me to come out to her family’s farm to capture her blended family, not necessarily all together since there were a few people missing out of state, just with each family in their own and I even took some senior photos of her grandson while I was there. She told me that they lived on a farm but when I got there, I was thrilled to learn it is the home of one of Gettysburg’s prettiest garden centers.
I started with these two beauties who are cousins. One lives in Philadelphia but they made it very clear to me that they are indeed best friends, as well as cousins!

And goodness, all I had to do to get one to pose was tell her cousin to make her laugh! I love 3-4 year olds… so much fun!

And here we have Nana with her baby granddaughter. Nothing sweeter than that!

It started to rain so we went inside for a few photos….

And then back outside we went, despite the 100 degree humidity!

The red-headed beauty from the earlier photographs has an older big brother and two very in love parents.

And the pretty long haired beauty in the earlier photographs has a beautiful mom and two older siblings, one of which is about to be a senior… and a little dog named Macy. ![]()

Thank you so much B family!!!! I have SO MANY beautiful photographs to show you!
Stay R.A.D.
August 13, 2011Its been a year since I saw this little guy and what fun I had again with him and his family to help celebrate his second birthday! They’re full of laughter and made my job so very easy. His initials are R.A.D…. so the shirt is perfect, of course!

We planned this session at the studio with a drumset. When he showed up with a Beatles shirt on, I was in love.

And in true rockstar fashion, no drumset is complete without a temper tantrum. ![]()

You know those temper tantrums only last 30 seconds when you’re two.

He brought his favorite toys, and in turn, these are some of favorites because I can really see how much he loves them!

Mom also wanted a shot with this hat… but this is all we got…stayed on for approximately 1/100th of second!

And finally, there is a shot on the contact form of my website and a shot I have blown up in my studio of this little guy at age 1 with his daddy… just.like.this. Love how this turned out, one year later!

Happy Birthday Beautiful Girl!
June 26, 2011Being able to watch clients grow from tiny sweet babies like this http://luckyladybugphotography.com/blog/?p=1718 into a beautiful almost one year old like this is truly amazing.
She came to my studio today full of smiles and pretty clothes!
Oh and cupcakes… and of course she knew exactly what to do with them!
