She’s here! Remember this beautiful mom-to-be? They’ve recently welcomed a perfect baby girl and I do mean perfect…she was a doll for me!

It was quite special watching the three of them together… they really never took their eyes off of their beautiful daughter for very long. Simply smitten.

Raise your hand if you’re happy to be here!

And finally… this adorable headband and tutu was purchased by her momma long before she arrived… she knew what she wanted and she had the perfect baby to go with it!

Perfect Princess
June 9, 201012 Days Old
May 11, 2010What a sweet way to spend my Mother’s Day morning…. and what a sweet gift this little guy was for his mommy on Mother’s Day! When I asked him how he felt about that, this is the response I got:

Okay, not really but you can imagine that’s what he was thinking.
And I have never, ever seen a newborn baby smile while awake at his mommy… but he just looked right up and her and did this. See, I told you he was happy to be here.

He’s a big boy and fit so snug in my props, but so relaxed and cozy in there. He gave me some great eye contact!

Big brother was not feeling so swell so we had to forgo the sibling shot for now. What a cute pair of boys these two make!

Happy belated mother’s day to all of my readers! This, my friends, is the reason for the season.

Coming Soon
April 24, 2010…a sweet little girl to this very happy couple!
I love maternity sessions, in the spring, summer, winter and Fall. I really just love them. Then I sit on the edge of my seat until baby arrives and am over the moon happy for the parents. I can’t wait to meet this little baby soon.
I’ve been noticing the weeds on the sides of the roads lately and have been itching to photograph in them (my husband says “They’re WEEDS Sandy…” but to me, it’s a gorgeous field of yellow wildflowers). This beautiful mom-to-be just glowed in the flowers, orchard and golden sun that was just perfect today.

Miracle Baby
April 19, 2010It never ceases to amaze how this job allows me to meet such really wonderful people. I get to hear the most inspiring stories sometimes of birth, pregnancy, love and life. I am truly blessed.
And so is this beautiful mom with her adoring husband and the newest big sister in town. This little guy was a photographer’s dream today and I’m so fortunate that they asked me to capture them for the first time as a family of 4.

This little girl wow’d me today with her impressive vocabulary!

M family +1
April 13, 2010Remember this little ski love story I shared with you a few weeks ago? Now they’re +1 with a beautiful baby boy who was as sweet as sweet could be for me today.
As is the case with each session, I end up having a favorite photograph that I add to my list of all-time favorites. I really love this shot ![]()

I really love this one too because of how comfortable he looks so snug in his mommy’s snowflake scarf. She wore one to her maternity session and I really wanted to incorporate it into the session, but it had some pink in it (boys + pink = not a great idea!) but I love this one even more.

Be Still My Heart
February 27, 2010The perfect little model for me! She had my heart from the beginning, that’s for sure.

I go to every newborn session with a plan of shots I’d like to accomplish but many times, babies have their own agendas and some shots don’t happen. This gorgeous little girl let me go from A to Z without making a peep until the very last shot, when she decided to call it a wrap, after she let me get that shot anyway. I hope it’s plain to see how much her parents adore her and how much she is so very loved.

When she did awake, she gave me the most wonderful eye contact and I swear she was smiling
She is definitely so happy to be here!

Miracle Baby
December 8, 2009I like to think that every newborn I photograph is special and so very loved, and truly a miracle in their own way. This little guy sure belongs on that list of mine. His parents love him oh so very much and are just so happy to have him…. goodness I love that!
Welcome baby M to the world… we are so happy to have you here too!
His daddy’s nickname is Moose and well, I just love this shot so much more for that reason.

This shot is part of the new Similac ad so props to Jodie Otte for doing it so well and having many parents tear it out hoping their photographer can duplicate it ![]()

This one puts my heart at peace. Love it.

Adorable little lips

And finally, shot I’ve wanted to do for a while and well, like I said, dad’s nickname is Moose for a reason. I remember him from high school as a football player and maybe one day, his little guy will be able to put this one in his own football hall of fame.

Santa Claus is Coming to Town
November 15, 2009… and he’s definitely make a stop at the P home this year because these two boys have been nothin’ but good (and I think it doesn’t hurt they they already have an “in” with the big man in red himself

I first met this family when I photographed these two adorable boys in the spring and I must say, I was surprised to see how much both of them have changed, almost all grown up already ![]()

But this time, we also got some really awesome family photographs. It would be a shame not to show off a gorgeous family like this during this holiday season!

Thank you P family and thank you Santa for making an appearance! Because of this session, I got out my Christmas decorations today! ![]()

Mr. Baby Gap Ad
October 14, 2009I first met this little guy when he was only 5 weeks old. See here. He was so good for me then and so good yet again but this time, he was old enough to show off his million dollar smile and sparkly blue eyes… oh my.

His creative mom contacted me with an idea in mind, to create a fun calendar of him as a gift for some lucky relatives. So I had a lot of fun dressing him up in hats and using props to celebrate each month of the year. He happily obliged… most of the time! Then I captured some of him in his gorgeous nursery(love this one because I took a newborn photo of him on this very same piece of furniture)

Then I got some great family photos….like this one here…

… but yet I can’t seem to get over these hat photos.

I have the best clients in the whole world.
October 1, 2009I realize that not everyone has the time to tell me how much they enjoy looking at their photos and that’s okay, but when they do, it’s such a huge compliment since I always feel attached to the photos I take! Here are a few comments I’ve gotten most recently that I just wanted to share. Thanks so much again to all of you who keep me going, when I’m on hour 3 of editing a session at 11:00pm!
“After all of my excitement, I have totally forgotten to email YOU how much I love the photos you took! I looked at them that night!:) They are absolutely beautiful. I’m so excited to see the rest! Thank you so much! I forwarded them on to EVERYONE! You do amazing, captivating work!!”
“Thanks so much Sandy! They look GREAT! Can’t wait to see more! The kids had a blast. This morning XXX even thanked me for “letting” him get his pictures taken with you!”
“Sandy, we received our photo package in the mail last week…my message is delayed due to holiday events… They are simply amazing!!! The images online certainly do not do your photos justice. The quality and professionalism of your prints (and your presentation of products) is, once again, AMAZING!!! Thank you so much for your time, talent and generosity. You will definitely be seeing the XXX family again
