This session was rescheduled from the extremely crazy heat a couple of weeks ago and I’m so glad we waited, because althought its still toasty outside, it was great weather for photographs. Little misses just turned the big ONE year old and wow, does she love her big brother. I had a great time going back through these and watching her face as she watched him. I love it.

I had a nice break from sessions this weekend (because I had 4 last week!) so I definitely enjoyed some family time. I bought a new camera a few weeks ago (a Canon 5D so that I have a back-up system in place) but haven’t had the time to break it out to familiarize myself with it. I took my lovely little girl out tonight in my back yard right after the heavy storm we got because that’s the most beautiful light when the storm clears. Madeline has been loving to pose lately, so much so that she tells me how to pose when she takes my picture… “No, mommy, model like THIS.” Ooops, I guess I have created a monster! I really can’t wait until the day she is old enough to help me with sessions. I have a feeling she’s going to be great.

A little vintage to satisfy my craving lately. Oh and this is how she says you should model. What? You didn’t know??!!



These poses kill me. They’re all her. No direction from me! I did, however, convince her to take off the backpack she wanted to accessorize with for these photos.

This little guy was a dream. Not only is he just perfect looking, he’s already got the most laid-back personality… and so smiley! I could’ve definitely have photographed him all day.

When mom booked this session with me, I could not wait to do this shot! I have too many of these as favorites, it was hard to pick just one to preview.


Oh how I love tiny sweet babies with knitted hats.

I met the cutest pair today…. a beautiful, red-headed little girl (you know how I love those!) and her little brother that she adores. He was perfect for me today and these two made my morning with these overwhelmingly sweet photographs.

Hopefully google didn’t let me down with the Russian translation!

Then when I get beautiful and wonderful parents to go with it, my job is really quite easy. In fact, I’m pretty sure it’s the best job in the world.



It was a scorching 100 degrees today but their backyard had lots of nice shade and a cool little breeze flowing through made for the perfect outdoor setting.

Today was the beginning of my newborn rush… I have a ton of babies coming up, all born at the same time. Scheduling is kind of funny when it comes to newborn babies. Try telling them what day they’re scheduled to be born! I couldn’t have started off with a more perfect little subject than this sweetheart.

I’ve been on a vintage kick lately… so I like to throw in a few here and there.

Remember this little newborn I photographed a year ago, then again at 4 months, and 8 months recently? He’s about to be the big ONE year old! Mom set this whole session up at her grammy’s house, with a rocker theme and a biker theme and wanted to incorporate some sentimental things in the yard…. so of course, I am so beyond thrilled when parents are so excited about photos and plan things out. It helps that after 3 sessions, they know what to expect and how things go. It definitely gives parents a level of comfortability I think to suggest ideas.

These parents-to-be celebrated their wedding anniversary with some maternity photos near my house in Fairfield, PA. I lugged my sofa out to the road in front of my house because I LOVE it there, and then convinced them to do some field shots with me… they gave me complete creative control over these photographs and I’m thrilled with the results. Classic, timeless and beautiful. Can’t wait to meet their baby girl coming soon!

I love when maternity sessions are very much family sessions all the same. It’s pretty special to be able to remember family life before a new little one adds so much more than one ever dreamed possible. Cool stuff!

So these two little boys are getting a little sister very soon. And the oldest brother already knows how to be an awesome big brother. I’m pretty sure the little brother will follow just the same.
